About Teresa Shiflett
As a creative portrait photographer from St. Louis, MO, I'm deeply passionate about creating meaningful images. My undergraduate degree in Media Studies from Webster University sparked my interest in photography and that passion has continued throughout my career. Later I worked in the corporate world in photography and media, and taught photography classes. After taking time off from my career to raise a family, I was ready to get back to what I love, creating artistic images and preserving memories. In 2011, I returned to photography, specializing in portraiture. I thank all who had faith in my vision and those who have been there to support me, my village.
As a photographer my strengths lie in my ability to put people at ease. I capture the essence of each person no matter the age. Reacting to children’s changing temperaments, teasing teenagers to reveal who they are or patiently coaxing that smile with humor, I can gauge when to change the focus of a shoot to get the most from my clients. This interaction between the photographer and client lets me create the image that you will be delighted to display for years.
Services
Each session is a unique opportunity to capture the true essence of you, my client. I specialize in portraits of families from infants to high school seniors to grandparents. Individual shots range from social media to head shots to pet photography. Event photography can be a family party, reunion, celebration, or you can create your own portrait event.
